Leadership through Service
Leadership through Service
Leadership is my business. I believe that for your business or organization to thrive - it starts with your personal attitude of servant leadership and the leadership of those who serve with you. Bottom-lines, goal setting, and achievable priorities are important, but without focused, competent, and empathetic leadership, the journey can be made more difficult than needed.
I believe in helping you with that.
Any business is made up of one critical resource - people. And people need - deserve - great leadership! I'm prepared to help you with that at any level, from impartial advice or practical assistance, to organizational and team training or coaching. I'm here to help you make the most of every opportunity in leading your organization - with a servant's heart - to achieve success!
Whether you have no employees or 5000, whether your desire is to lead in the community or in the board room, I've got you covered. Reach out to me and we'll do an initial assessment of where you are, where your organization is and where you want to be in the short term and long term future. My personal mission is to create a relationship with you and your team, not transactions. My promise is that I'll be there, as questions or issues arise, every step of the way.
From the platoon to consulting with a Fortune 500 company, I've seen and experienced many different flavors of good, great, and not so great leadership. As a professional military officer, and after 16 years of increasing leadership responsibilities and two dynamic combat tours in Iraq, I was honored to be selected for a prestigious position as a Battalion Commander leading over 800 American Soldiers. During my time as a commander, I was then placed in the critical role of Base Commander, as I headed to Iraq for my third time, in the heart of Baghdad - with the immense responsibility of leading over 1,700 multinational service-members as I worked alongside the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
Upon the successful completion of my time as commander, I was then selected to teach Organization Leadership Theory to military graduate students at the U.S. Army's Command and General Staff College. A role I deeply loved, as I coached mid-level career officers in the art and science of effective leadership.
Upon my retirement from the U.S. Army and 23 years of active duty service, I was hired on at a Fortune 500 company, to help educate, coach, and consult executive level leaders in the company on organizational culture and leadership, in order improve overall employee satisfaction and value.
After a combined 28 years of leadership training, education and experience - my desire and passion is to help you. My intake process is designed to understand your needs, develop the best course of action to empower you and your team and outfit you and them with the tools needed to succeed. Talk to me today about how I can support your leadership growth, limit your turnover and manpower costs, and put you on a solid track to success and profit.
My service includes a comprehensive consult to help identify gaps and opportunities, a comprehensive report that includes a plan with timelines and milestones, and a schedule. I also offer a suite of coaching and training regimen that will set your organization up for years of quality leadership development. That’s how I ensure your success.
I don't just talk the talk - I walk it too! You'll see and experience my servant's heart for you and your organization. I am not going to blindly cut and paste a stenciled answer to your request and issues. My solutions, coaching and training, are molded to you, who your leadership team is, and what your business does. It's personal to you and meets you where you need it.
I created Servus Leadership Consulting, because I want to help guide leaders and organization towards the realization that the best way to drive and achieve exceptional results lies within the heart of the people inside their team. Leading them, motivating them, and in the end serving them and their needs - will always - in the end deliver the best results and revenue.
People are the most important aspect of any business and leading them with a servant's heart is of supreme importance.
Eric's distinguished record of providing effective leadership and achieving superior results in a wide range of challenging environments stems from his unique professional background. In addition to having retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in U.S. Army, with over 23 years of proven and decorated history as a combat leader, Eric also taught graduate level studies in Organizational Leadership Theory at the U.S. Army's Command & General Staff College - one of the Nation's premier leadership institutions.
Upon the conclusion of his highly successful career as a military officer, Eric stepped out into Corporate America utilizing his expertise and experience in Change Management, Organizational Culture, Organizational Leadership, and running Effective Organizations as he was hired on as an internal company management consultant at Amgen, the world's premier bio-technology company and a Fortune 500 organization. After a year and a half in Corporate America, Eric came to the realization that unlike the military, many corporations did not focus on sustained leadership development - causing him to create Servus Leadership Consulting.
